Frank C. Worrell, Ph.D., is Director of the School Psychology program and Faculty Director of the Academic Talent Development Program at the University of California, Berkeley. He also serves as co-Director for Research and Development for the California College Preparatory Academy, a charter school partnership involving UC Berkeley and Aspire Public Schools. His research interests include academic talent development, at-risk youth, scale development and validation, and teacher effectiveness. In his work, he examines psychosocial variables related to academic achievement in adolescent populations, and the reliability and validity of instruments used to measure psychosocial constructs. Author of over 50 refereed articles, he is a member of the editorial boards of Assessment, Gifted Child Quarterly, the Journal of Advanced Academics, Psychology in the Schools, Roeper Review, School Psychology Quarterly, and Training and Education in Professional Psychology. Dr. Worrell serves as a consultant to the Student Support Service Unit of the Ministry of Education and the School Leadership Center of Trinidad and Tobago.
